Are There Specific Guidelines To Be Accepted On An Ama Student Tour?

All students must be recommended by their high school music director. If you have been invited to a meeting, you will receive a referral code. Tours are assigned by demographics of where you live, if you are unsure of which tour you should travel, please fill out our contact form and we will send you information for the correct tour.

Periodic newsletters are sent via email throughout the winter and spring with tour reminders, information and highlights. If you find that you are missing any of these newsletters after their publication date, please contact us at the American Music Abroad office.
Yes, we will offer 2-3 Fundraisers each year. All fundraising money raised goes to the students account. In addition, many participants each year fundraise on their own or with other students from their school that are traveling.
Sponsorship checks may be made payable to American Music Abroad with the participant’s name in the memo field. These checks should be mailed to the participants, giving them the opportunity to send a thank you note and track sponsorship. Then forward the batch of sponsorship checks to American Music Abroad to be applied to the participant’s account. Sponsors may also donate money through the Payments tab on our website.
Breakfast and dinner are included during the European portion of the tour. Lunch is independent. While at the college all meals are included.
Yes. A link to the roommate request form will be sent out in March. Roommate choices are due in April. All requests received after the due date published in the newsletters may not be honored. If you do not have a roommate choice, one will be assigned to you based on your preferences.

Due to the limited space on our student program, it is not possible for parents and/or families to travel with American Music Abroad Student Tours. However, American Music Abroad offers a Friends and Family Tour option for parents/friends to travel for a 10-day period on a separate tour, with access to three concerts. Information on these tours will be provided at recruitment meetings.

Video seating recordings are due no later than January 15th.  Follow the instructions as printed in the January Newsletter.
