Tour Overview

The Stars & Stripes Tour 2026 will begin with two days of rehearsals and orientation at a college campus in Tennessee. During this time, students will come together as a unified ensemble, preparing for their performances abroad.

Following a farewell concert, participants will depart for Europe to begin a 16-day journey through Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria. Throughout the tour, students will take part in live concerts abroad, performing in a variety of settings while exploring each destination.

With multiple performances across five countries, this experience will reflect a well-structured European concert tour for student musicians, balancing preparation, performance, and cultural engagement.

Discovering Europe Through Music

Germany – A Historic Beginning

The tour will begin in Germany, where students will arrive in Berlin before continuing to Leipzig and Dresden. In Dresden, one of Germany’s most historically significant cities, students will experience their first European destination and settle into the rhythm of the tour.

This stage of the journey will introduce students to Europe’s history and architecture while setting the foundation for the performances ahead.

Czech Republic – First Performances in Prague

Traveling into the Czech Republic, students will stop in Karlovy Vary before arriving in Prague. Their first performance will take place in a public setting, marking the beginning of their international concert experience.

In Prague, students will explore the Old Town, walk through historic streets, and take part in an evening performance following rehearsal. A dinner cruise along the Vltava River will provide a memorable cultural experience, combining music, scenery, and connection.

Austria – Vienna’s Musical Legacy

In Vienna, students will explore one of Europe’s most iconic musical cities. The experience will include a performance in a historic cathedral setting, allowing students to engage directly with the city’s rich musical heritage.

Students will also visit Schönbrunn Palace and experience Vienna’s cultural atmosphere through guided exploration and local traditions. This portion of the tour will highlight the connection between music history and modern performance. 

Hungary – Performance and Cultural Experience

The journey will continue into Budapest, where students will explore both the city and the surrounding countryside. A performance in a local concert setting will allow students to share their music with international audiences.

Cultural experiences, including traditional Hungarian entertainment and countryside excursions, will provide a deeper understanding of the region. This stage of the tour will reflect the broader purpose of cultural exchange music tours, where performance and cultural learning go hand in hand.

Austria – Alpine Finale

The final stage of the journey will take place in Austria, with time spent in Salzburg and the alpine town of Westendorf. Students will experience scenic landscapes, local traditions, and a festive Tyrolean evening.

Additional highlights will include a visit to a glacier and a final concert in the Zillertal region. These experiences will bring the tour to a meaningful close, combining performance with the natural beauty of the Alps.
